California Fast Food Council members named, first hearing imminent
Governor Newsom announces the final appointments to the fast-food council. We are pleased to see some long-time CRA friends appointed to the Council and are grateful for their service. The CRA will play a very active role with this Council and the kick-off meeting is likely to be March 15th in Oakland.
Palo Alto drops ban on Natural Gas - will New York and other places follow?
Following the 9th Circuit denial of an en banc rehearing, Palo Alto has officially dropped it’s ban on Natural Gas. While these bans are no longer enforceable within the 9th Circuit, Palo Alto’s retreat could be a precursor to more municipalities dropping similar all-electric requirements that have been enacted elsewhere over the past few years.
Orange County restaurant among those that plan to automate more of their services
Amid rising labor costs, restaurants continue efforts to increase efficiency through automation. A new survey by Popmenu shows 48% of restaurants plan to automate more on-premise functions this year including using artificial intelligence to answer phones or take online orders.
